Wasting Time

April 30, 2008 - 15.14

My sister got free tickets to see a special presentation of the movie Made of Honor. With a previous experience of not getting tickets at the last moment, we went early to exchange for tickets which leaves a several hour gap before the movie starts. The mall that the theater is in is almost empty. There are whole sections of deserted stores space. We decided to head for another mall.

On the way, we passed by one of my old work place. This is the back of it.

Going over a bridge, overlooking some expensive apartments. The real estate market is rising and there are a ton constructions of these apartment building overlooking the False Creek.

For the 2010 Olympics, they are building a new subway. The construction has totally screwed up traffic, reducing the multi-lanes road to single lane and blocking off left turn at almost every intersection. At first, we wanted to go to a store on the left but we don’t know how to get over there. So, we changed the destination to a mall further away.

Midway, it started raining. We caught this Porsche closing its roof. The rain drops were pretty big and soon it was a down pour.

We passed by more charity polar bear and killer whale statues. The bears had costumes – dark vader, batman and harry potter? The photos are kind of blurry since the car was moving and the window was filled with rain drops

Finally, we got to the mall and we grabbed some sushi to fill our hunger.
