Ramen
April 24, 2008 - 18.07After completing the Naruto filler episodes yesterday, I had a sudden urged to eat some ramen. So today, I went to a ramen restaurant with my sister for lunch.
The restaurant, located in downtown, is called Kintaro. The ramen is supposedly handmade. It tastes awesome! There’s a choice of rich, medium and light soup base as well as the choice of fat or lean BBQ pork.
It was past 2pm when we got there but there was still a line-up extended outside the door. We stood in line for about 15-20minutes before getting ourselves seats in a shared table of eight. While I was bored standing in line, I took a photo of the building across the street.
I ordered a Shio ramen with medium soup and fat pork. The Shio ramen includes bean sprouts, an egg, bamboo shoots, and two slices of BBQ pork. Again, I forgot to take a picture of the bowl of noodle. Here it is after I finished.
This restaurant resembles the one I went to in Japan where the cooking area is not hidden in the back. I would prefer to be seated at the ‘bar table’ but you can’t really choose when there’s a line (and when you are hungry).
