Fat Wiimote

Earlier last month, Nintendo announced that they’ll be giving out Wiimote jackets for free. Today, our Wiimote jackets arrived. It’s basically a rubber casing for the Wiimote with a thick padding near the front to lower impact if it slip out of your hand and hit your precious TV.

I haven’t use the Wiimote with the jackets yet but just holding it feels a bit heavier.  I’m likely not going to be using them since I never swing my Wiimote around crazily. I like to explore the motion sensing principles of the controller and move it minimally while maintaining the result of an actual throwing, swing, whacking action.
