Pocky & Pretz

Lately I’ve been hooked on Pocky. These chocolate coated pretzel sticks are turning out to be my daily snacks. I like the dark chocolate flavour the most, which apparently is called Men’s Pocky. How do dark chocolate and men relate? I don’t know. Ask the Japanese.

Anyways, last week I somehow landed myself at a Chinese supermarket. I was browsing through the snack section when I found some interesting Pretz. Like Pocky but salty, Pretz can be quite a delicious snack but in this case, they spell weird.

While the flavours as dishes would have been perfectly acceptable, I find it awfully strange to taste it from a Pretz stick. Not to mention, it’s probably a bunch of chemical flavouring. After all, you can’t coat the Pretz with crab and duck like Pocky can. Pocky wins!

Note: I still like the normal Pretz with flavours like tomato, salt etc.
